Penang Floral Festival 2009 (2/6/09) Botanical Gardens, Penang.
Owh finally, something about June 09', and yeah I know, I am super duper late for this particular post of mine, but then luckily, the pictures will do most of the talking here, I guess..
FYI: I do not own a SLR, therefore I have to borrow it from my dear cousin to actually do this.. *credits to Poh Jang*
It was quite late, about 6.30pm-6.50pm, I could not remember, I was late, but I did not miss the one and only chance for me to actually enjoy this "part-time" hobby of mine, photography. So here are some shots from me, using Canon EOS 1000D with 18-55 kit lens / 50 mm lens.
Please comment on the photos from a newbie like me p/s: please click on the pictures for it full size, I have no idea on how to deal with this matter, those who have any solutions, kindly drop a message at my cbox. THX..=] Shot 1

That's about it from me, I know this is a very "lame" post but then, its 1.29am now, I have class at 8.45am, leaving for Bangkok at 5pm from Penang for a week. So, its really ridiculous to leave to blog blank for a week. Sorry for the inconvenience caused. But please help rate those shots above.. *multiple answers are allowed*(max. 3 only)
During the weekend of Canon's Farenheit Showcase @ Auto-City, Juru, I was informed to attend a SLR Workshop by a famous photographer, Arden Khoo. Although, I was noticed only the night before(12.30am), I guess my interest towards SLR somehow woke up me from my beauty sleep to just attend the training. The workshop was held at the speaker's shop himself, Pixels, Nagore Road, Penang. The purpose of workshops like this being organized is to actually give some basic information/training to those new owner of SLRs out there.
When I got there, the event had already started...
Among those attended,
During the self try-out session,
Believe or not, as a camera promoter, I find that the seminar was actually very helpful not only for me but the others too. Among the things discussed was, shutter speed, aperture, ISO, exposure value and etc. Well as for me the important thing is that everyone goes back home with a smile on their faces with the thought "I did not regret buying a SLR" p/s: omg jangheng how lame can you be?.. XD
Only one thing that really caught my attention is that age is seriously not a factor on why you should own a SLR. The boy below is actually only still in elementary school and I was really impressed that he already had the interest in photography. He is the son of one of Penang's Famous Bridal Studio "France Taipei" *salutes*
Before signing off, I just wan to you readers to participate on this little survey which I've thought;
Last month, I was working in Auto-City, Juru, yet another boring camera fair perhaps? But this time, it's a little different than the other fairs that I've previously worked. Canon's model/artist for the IXUS series was there the other day on the first day of the event. I went to work immediately after class, it was actually quite a 'rush' but what to do, working and selling cameras is my priority *aiseh* But still I was actually shocked that our so called 'fair' kinda attract the attention of various races not only from Penang island and mainland but customers as far as Perak, Kedah and Kelantan too. WOW!!! Canon's Farenheit Showcase 2009 @ Auto-City,Juru

As the un-assigned photographer for the event, I was told "Oi, curi tulang ar?"
Buying a camera from us is really worth it even under the hot sun, because We provide the best customer service ever...
And the laughter of the moment, he was no customer to us, but we were his customer, for all 3days the so called 'uncle' was with us selling us lunch/dinner and etc. Although he was rude, suprisingly his business was that 'good'. He dares to scold his customers, but seriously I am annoyed yet amazed by his attitudes and actions. Canon's Farenheit Showcase 2009 @ Auto-City,Juru
And yeah, till the next camera fair... Canon's Farenheit Showcase 2009 @ Auto-City,Juru
*will posts up Farenheit's pictures when I get them from my colleague..
Till I work again, which will be quite sometime from now, as I was 'banned' by my parents from working as I've been working for "FREE" for almost 2 months now.. p/s: if you get what I mean..
Wow, notice the date of the event, and the date which I am actually posting it? What a delay rite, but what to do, I am like fully occupied on every single day of the week, college starts at 9am every single day, working on weekends, and when I'm free I'll usually take a long long nap to actually replace all those hours of college+working. Okay so after 5days of Orientation Week, this Student Welfare Committee of TARC or better known as SWC kinda organized a lil beach party for all of us freshmen without the informing the administration. Among those who attended are SBS and SOT freshmen. Try imagine actually how small it can be. TARC Beach Day 2009
TARC Beach Day 2009
So, as for us from Taipei, we did not plan to do any barbecue for the party but we bought food from somewhere else instead. We started off quite early but many of our members were still missing in action, so we decided to do something a little abstract. Welcome to Taipei!!
So, I guess this party will actually continue with people getting wet for no reason, food, more food and all about laughter. TARC Beach Day 2009
Yet there are some who are just all alone, just like me... TARC Beach Day 2009
So, while I wonder off to somewhere else to give a hand to some other groups, my camera was being 'possessed', I think TARC Beach Day 2009

So, when I got back and hand held my camera, I notice that the sun is setting and I would not miss the opportunity for great shots like this. Well its great of me, but if it's not for you then too bad la.. XD Shot 1

So, it's time for you to decide!!
Then, it's back to business for some people and yet some are craving for food... 'Let's Rock N' Roll People'
"Hey, the food is here!!!"
Actually, I am out of ideas on what to write next about this so called 'gathering', too many random yet hilarious pictures taken, with no reason. Oh I do not know why I'm actually posting all of these but it seems fun to you readers but memorable to us whom participated. So as the day slowly turns into night, the 'activities' are still being continued. TARC Beach Day 2009

As always all events must come to an end, I noticed that everyone attended this party barely wanna leave as it seems to be the a very long long time since they last enjoyed in an event like this http://jangheng.blogspot.com
Sorry, peeps again I know I am behind my timeline but apparently it's unavoidable, too much coursework & assignments, events, family occasions, outings and over-time naps for me, I guess I have to be more discipline this time in order to finish up all of my drafted posts.
*haihx*
I seriously apologize for the hold up but seriously I finish class late almost everyday and I have to stay back till dinner time on someday, I really I hope I have and do have a solution for this matter. So stay tuned for more wonderful posts, from me, I shall try to finish everything as short and as brief as possible to actually follow up with my super late timeline. Family Reunion

Camera Warehouse Sale @ Northam Tower, Penang 2009 (23/5/09-24/5/09)
Some of you must be thinking, are you nuts? Who would go all the way to Northam Tower to just buy a camera.. But I can prove you guys wrong. This 2-day camera warehouse sale actually received quite a response although on so short noticed. Is it maybe we because House Of Notebooks was also selling their laptops, printers, bags and etc there as well? I have no comments on that but I quite did enjoy this fair though because my sales on a particular camera was kinda 'satisfying' to me and others. Camera Warehouse Sale @ Northam Tower, Penang 2009

Oh ya, I also went to Gleneagles Hospital to distribute some flyers to the people there. The weather was a killer. It burns your skin for no reason. During the last day we are supposed to stick this sticker on our body parts just to seek attention. =.=''
During the last night a last customer came by to me and wanted to buy a camera, I persuaded her to buy the "hot model" within 10mins, which is pretty amazing but I felt kinda insulted when she said I was 24years old, and I even asked her to guess again, but still she said 21.
So the last sales was from me, aiseh so proud.*bangga*.. This is the end of this camera warehouse sale, till the next camera fair/sale.... Adios.. =]
TARC Orientation Week 2009 v3 (Day 5) Day 5 (22/5/09)-Final Day
As stated in TARC Orientation Week 2009 v2, I was very sorry that Day 5 of the event was SUPPOSED to be updated but was canceled due to some reasons. Okay now back to Day 5, the so called "dooms-day" for most of the group which got into the Variety Show Finals. As for my group, we practiced till kinda late that night hoping that we will be the LAMEST-ever and win. So on Day 5, we decided to "attend college" earlier than scheduled to actually rehearse the so-called-sketch of ours. Here are some pictures of us gearing up for the performance for Variety Show. Then we head down to the CA nervously, with the thoughts "What if i screw up?"/"What if we do not win, will 'they' blame me?"/etc etc. We enjoyed a couple of performance before our turn to perform. So in the preparation room, the other members was like so excited because its gonna be over soon and nervous because afraid that they might do some mistakes during our sketch. TARC Orientation Week 2009 v3 (Day 5)

Then came our turn to perform, a video was recorded by an ex-schoolmate of mine JasonTan, formerly from Penang Free School, he "was" also studying at this particular college but has graduated and now is in Kuala Lumpur to further his studies.
*credits to JasonTan*
Notice that the sketch was kinda boring because of the faulty microphone that was provided. I did not realize that sound is one of the most important factors of a sketch.Don't you agree? Oh well this is a picture to show you guys that how much I need a SLR so badly. TARC Orientation Week 2009 v3 (Day 5)
Okay, back to the Last Day of Orientation Week. After groups by groups of performance, finally came to the prize presentation ceremony, as stated on , we had a tele-match competition on the 4th day, and we were the champions of the tug-of-war. Somehow and I do not even know how we won but who cares rite? WE WON!!! *swt* We are the Champions!!
Then came to the overall winner prize presentation, it was either SOT or SBS. As you all know I'm in SBS rite? Do you think we from SBS won or is it SOT? From my opinion, the two MASSIVELY LARGE competitors was judge according to their performance which covers, the attendance of the freshmen, their overall leadership skills and etc. Finally, *drums rolling* The winner is...... SBS!!!!
Notice all the happy faces from those student leaders who've worked hard for this tiny+silly+ETC yet memorable occasion? SBS aha aha, I like it aha aha....
Then here is a video of I do not know how to say this, but just watch yeah..
SBS vs SOT, after SBS wins? I have no idea..
Then when it call comes to an end, we head back our tutorial classes and have some last few words with our student leaders. L to R: Victor, Jason, Chris
Well that's the end of TARC Orientation Week 2009 from me, jangheng TARC Orientation Week 2009 Group 14(Taipei)
So far any comments on Day 1 & 2? I do not see anyone posting comments or leaving messages at my cbox, thats really sad ain't it? =[.. It decreases my "ummph" to actually blog,*haihx* but no worries, I am devoted blogger, I shall not withdraw with just only a little less distraction. Okei, back to Day 3 of the Orientation Week 2009. The main event for Day 3 was actually the Pre-Variety Show which was held at the Dewan Kuliah. I was placed in D.K B with my group 14(Taipei). We sat down and waited for our turn to actually perform, I almost fell asleep, as we practiced till quite late the night before.
A snapshot of our kinda-lame yet educational sketch Spot ME!!! *credits to Jason Quah for this picture*
I took a video of a group (Penang), which I think is kinda good as the guy has the most excruciating facial expression, I really respect him *salutes* Have doubts on my perspective? Why not take have a look at the video I took, then you'll know what I am talking about.
So after the Pre-Variety Show we went back to our tutorial class for lunch before heading going in to the CA for a briefing by the Administrative Staffs which was actually quite boring, we have no choice but to attend it. Most freshies fell asleep.
So after like an hour and a half of sleep, we got ready and geared up fro Treasure Hunt. The type of treasure hunt organized was actually quite different, because we actually do not need to look for the treasure but we are supposed to compete with one of the other groups before achieving our item. Seems interesting right? So here are some snapshots of the event which I took of the interesting yet FUN moments. Student leaders are discussing the venue of the treasure hunt.
"Try guessing the card in my hand"
At the Foyer...
5-10 *a simple yet FUN game*
This is the most ridiculous game ever, Flip A Coin, if heads you win, tails you lose.. =.="
After that we gathered at the Foyer AGAIN and battled with the other group(SOT) as we are from SBS. Making a speech
with so many people listening
That's was how FUN Day 3 was...
Day4 (21/5/09)
As for Day 4, it was all about Sports, Recreation and Societies. Like usual, we are supposed to report ourselves at our groups in the Tutorial Rooms. Then we head down to the Club House area which have the facilities such as Multi-Purpose Courts, Swimming Pool and etc. The games which are in competition are darts, tug-of-war, basketball, ping pong and volleyball. I've divided the shots I took into 2 sections; sports, candid. Enjoy for a moment!!

I look so FAT!! omg..
Then it was our so called "sleeping time" again after lunch. We headed to the CA for another briefing by the head of societies. Quite boring actually yet some was quite interesting. The thing is I did not even fall asleep. After sometime, the organizing committee noticed that MOST of the freshmen had already fallen asleep. So they decided to do this.
Not long after that, the committee finally announce the FINALIST for the Variety Session tomorrow, and yeah I heard TAIPEI!!!!!!!!! Many were like jumping happily but then I was like *speechless*, the question kept running in my head "Are you sure or not??" Then came a performance by our seniors.. Here's a video of it..
SBS vs SOT Who do you think is stronger?
While the rest cheered for them Jia YOU!!!!
That's about it for Day 4 TARC Orientation Week 2009, I'm sad to say that I'll have to stop here and delay the post for Day 5 because my family have guest this week from Kuala Lumpur and need to accompany them after classes. *haihx*
Sorry for the lack of updates AGAIN, been pretty busy with class in college. I am not really happy with one thing about my course timetable, it starts at 9am every SINGLE day. I have to wake up at 7.30am daily and leave home by 8.30am in order to not be LATE for class. Last week, 29/5/09-31/5/09, I was promoting cameras @ Auto-City, Juru from 3pm-12am, got home on average 2am. Therefore, I had no time to actually online to check my emails, facebook, blog, plurk and etc. Very sorry. My schedule has been really tight these days. It's also been 3weeks since my last game of snooker. LOL!! I'll try my best to update ma blog when I have the time people, I promise..
As for now, I need help from you people to give me ideas on my Hubungan Etnik Coursework "Bahasa Malaysia sebagai medium perpaduan rakyat Malaysia"
HELP!!!! I Need Somebody, HELP!!!!
