Gregsson John Doss's Farewell (18/5/09)

Gregsson John Doss's Farewell (18/5/09)
Northam Beach Cafe

And I thought I was late, they are even late-r than me. LOL A1 English I suppose. A pre-planned event to actually say goodbye to a very dear friend of mine since elementary school, Gregsson. He is leaving for UniTAR in Kampar, Perak. Actually we were supposed to go to some place near town, I forgotten the name of it but ended up at Northam Beach Cafe.
Credits to Gregsson for treating us drinks during dinner..
Girls are always girls, vaining..

Adelene; Tiffany

Janice

After dinner we head down to DJoint, Upper Penang Road for a couple of drinks to make a small toast and a so called reunion for the old-gang of ours. Its amazing that in a blink of an eye all of eyes have graduated from high school. I can still remember the times in tuition during Form2. Those memorable yet childish outings we had in Gurney, the beach, the sleepovers & etc.
I miss them most..

TARC Orientation Week 2009 v1 (Day 1 & Day 2)

TARC Orientation Week 2009 v1 (Day 1 & Day 2)
(18/5/09-22/5/09)
Day1 (18/5/09)

Just like any ordinary school/college/university, when entering a new environment you tend to be shy, act innocent although your not and etc. Therefore, the orientation week is organized to actually create a little bonding between freshmen among themselves and seniors. When I first got there, I was like so humiliated because I'm like 1/100(one in a hundred) that do not know how to speak/understand mandarin, or better known as "Banana Man"*haihx* so paiseh okei..

Beginning Of The Ceremony

These decent freshie's looking so well prepared for what's next ahead of them but is it really that true?

Freshmen of 2009..

We were then divided into different group, clueless on who we will be meeting and so on. Then we proceeded into tutorial classes for some ice-breaking session. I got in to group 14, Taipei(SBS) .

This is my assistant group leader : Jason Quah

After that we went our own ways for a Student Support Workshop; Intro to Tertiary Studies by the Extra Mural Studies Department.
Day1:was actually quite LAME to me, because I had no friends, no one to talk to cuz I am the BANANA guy, luckily there was an Indian girl in my group, or I would not even understand a single word that is coming out from their mouths. *What a disgrace!!!* So after day1, there actually thoughts of me not going for the day2, but I decided to give them a 2nd chance to them and myself to do something bout it. An ohm session was held before dismissing everyone,

Ohm: SBS vs SOT
School Of Business Studies vs School Of Technology

Who won? Keep reading people!!!

Day2 (19/5/09)
Day2 started with a little fun, I guess. The first activity was Fresh N' Fit session. It was conducted by the dance crew Danzity Dance House. We done some stretching and learned some simple but COOL hip hop moves.

1.Put your right hand up..

In the ayerrr!!!!!

After that, Danzity gave us a short performance on stage, I did a record a video of it

p/s: sorry for the low resolution and quality of it

Then we went our own ways again for our Course Briefing and Study Skills Workshop. My course was Diploma In Technology (Building), and yeah we got "blackmailed" by our course lecturer(head), it was kinda scary.
After that we return back to our tutorial classes discussed a little bit of our strategies for the next event on the schedule; Telematch..

Our so called slogan, which I took from somewhere.. XD

familiar to you scouts out there?

I can't actually explained to you readers where what actually happened on Telematch session as there is too much to remember, therefore I shall only post pictures as highlights of the events.

Write the given Chinese words with your mouth (3person)

Throw the balloon, not pass..

We LOST!! =[

Because our junior leader was,

hiding somewhere, when we were competing..

Fill up the bottle with sponge ONLY!!!

I look like an AhPek from here...

Spell it out!!

Lie down on the ground and form letter to spell the words..

Drink as much water as you can from a certain height with only 1 breath..

Divide the beans according to their color/size with only chopsticks..

And when you lose, you'll have to do some penalty which your opposing group decides

Quack x3

The day ended like this; 3 words from the junior leader,

Well Done Guys!!!

That's about it for Day1 & 2, will update bout Day3-5 when I have my spare time again, college life is quite hectic for me, assignments, non-stop classes from 9am-5pm with only 1hr break daily, *haihx*..

Till next time.. =]

DJ Ken from Hitz.Fm Club Hitz @ Mois Penang (16/5/09)

16/5/09

Can't believe that I totally forgotten about this particular event on my calendar-to-posts..LOL, Yeah, so forgetful of me as there is been so many things going on during May 09' for me. This is one of the events that I really had fun, the music, the enviroment, a very good blend indeed.

DJ Ken from Hitz.Fm Club Hitz @ Mois Penang (16/5/09)

So, it is Hitz.FM Club Hitz DeeJay, DJ Ken was @ MOIS. I got there around 12am with my friends,ShunGee and MunLeon, but entered the club at around 1am, because when we got there it was kinda pack at the entrance, so we took a little stroll around Upper Penang Road, had the yoong tau fu before queeing up to enter.
Yeah I know clubbing ain't really that good, pictures from clubs of anyone would actually make you look like a party animal. But as for me, clubbing is part of growing up, everyone may have at least been clubbing ONCE in their lives, its like a sooner or later process.

1 to 1, Face to face

It was like the first time ever of me going to club and not getting drunk/stoned. I was quite impressed about the event, was totally packed with clubbers till the environment a total partyyy... No wonder I was sweating inside the club, non-stop dancing.=]
So before leaving MOIS, I took a video of the club.

So after reading my post, watcha you think of the event???

BMX & Inline Freestyle Battle 17/5/09

17/5/09, Sunday
It was a pretty gloomy Sunday, a day before my college orientation week starts, held @ Central Park, Queensbay Mall, Penang, BMX & Inlike Freestyle Battle. Well this time I did not really participate in the competition because it was a different type of competition compared to mine, aggressive inline skating, so I did a little little performance for those attended there. Quite fun actually, skating in a new enclosed enviroment than the old outdoor and heaty place. K.Wen was there too, while Coollen was the MC for the event. I did not took much pictures of the event as I forgot to insert my memory card into my camera after transfering pictures. *haihx*

Cinco DeMayo (11/5/09)
Venue: SOI 11, Upper Penang Road..

How sad could it be when attending an event, the launching of something new in Malaysia, ALONE? Yeah thats right, I was at SOI 11 last week for the launching of SOL Beer all the way from Mexico. Luckily, I had some buddies/seniors during the event as my company. It wasn't so boring afterall for me as some unplanned/unexpected events happened. The crowd for the night was average for a weekday event. =]

SOL Beer or better known as Sun Beer

When I got there they were actually having this trivia question thingy bout SOL Beer, which was MC-ed by Benedict, a friend of mine.

Cinco DeMayo (11/5/09)

The SS collared t-shirt that they have won.. =.=
p/s: SS=super small

Then a dance performance was presented from out of the blue

So after dancing we chilled somewhere around the corner, had a lil chat and waited for the next session of the trivia question bout SOL Beer. Somehow, I got enrolled myself in to that lil pop quiz, I supposed..
Below are the *not so smart* guides on how to enjoy SOL Beer to the skies

1. Get cranky and turn+ squeeze the lime till its submerged in the SOL beer

2. Bottoms up BABE.. swt.. =.=''

3.This is how you should look when winning SS size t-shirt

I was forced to do it because it was a part of the trivia, finish up the beer in one shot before answering your question.. So yeah after my session of the trivia question another performance was presented in another manner, Beat Boxing..

I seriously respect this guy with all my heart LOL... *salutes*

Then it was like more and more fun for the whole nite, here are some snapshots of the other attendees having fun with the music by the live band..

Cinco DeMayo (11/5/09)

Then they did some Macrena action dance too, kinda sporting though

Somehow we got bored and thought of something

Scene1

and then...

Scene2

What you think bout it?Drop me some comments bout this, please.. =]

A 2nd dance was performed by the group before ending of the nights agenda..

I would like to actually give a round of applause to Senor Benedict for being a wonderful MC for the night, I really did enjoy myself.

*cheers*

Last but not least GRACIAS to all of you for your continuous support towards my blog..

Canon EOS Digital Fair 2009 (8/5/09-10/5/09)

Canon EOS Digital Fair 2009 (8/5/09-10/5/09)

Yes, another post about me promoting cameras, how lame, but only this time its in PENANG.. Gurney Plaza main atrium was the venue, the 3-day fair was actually quite a success to me. The main event was the launching of the Canon EOS 500D.
The early bird catches the worm

The first the was quite messed up for me as I studied my camera specs well but WTF, I was appointed to sell printers. So, I kinda made lots of demonstrations on what Canon printers can do. A little waste of resources isn't?

For an average pc user like me, the printer dpi was a quite a bomb to me.. =]

The launching of the EOS 500D with the sexy yet skillful dancers caught the attention of many shoppers, including some of the promoters as well.

Other than cameras, we do also sell accessories such as screen protectors, UV crystals, tripods and etc. On hot sale was the bags which was hanging here and there.

As a conclusion, the launching, the fair did kinda well to me, but to others I may not know. Oh yeah, I also sold my 1st DSLR to a customer, a Canon EOS 1000D, I know its not much for some of you but it's and achievement for me... =]. So after clearing up for almost an hour or so, we headed up to the office and a meeting was held, everyone seemed tired yet happy as the "disaster" has ended.

1 more thing, I did not have any meals for the last day(Sunday) the customer response was too overwhelming that I do not have time for intervals/breaks but oh well we went dinner to Subaidah, Tanjung Tokong after the meeting, I ate so much that I do not even know how much is cost me.. LOL..=]

Till next time...

Pre- Canon EOS Digital Fair 2009(7/5/09)

Pre- Canon EOS Digital Fair 2009(7/5/09)

Yeah, and who said selling cameras was easy? This is rather not a good accomplishment for me though, a day before the main event, a yet un-punctual briefing was held. Typical Malaysians attitude. The purpose of the briefing was to actually explain about importance, rules & regulation, etc bout the event to all promoters and staffs. A little food for thought and information on how to tackle customers who ask irrelevant questions were also included.

Pre- Canon EOS Digital Fair 2009(7/5/09)

Please read before working next time; LOL

Pre- Canon EOS Digital Fair 2009(7/5/09)

We actually got "sponsored" and learned how to actually work more efficiently with the screen protectors and UV crystals accessories.

Pre- Canon EOS Digital Fair 2009(7/5/09)

It was kinda fun+challenging actually, we were judge based on the our performance (quality+effectiveness). It ended later than expected. Surprisingly, when I got home I did a lil bit of research on the *HOT* selling models before going to bed, what an efficient promoter, LOL..=]

Pre-Wesak Day 2009 Lotus Candle Set Up

Pre-Wesak Day Lotus Candle Set Up, one of the a-must-to attend volunteery services in my yearly calendar. This year 2009, the attendance was not as much as the previous years as it was during a weekday and most people were either working/studying. I got there kinda early and waited for the Buddhist Students' Society members to arrive. They had lunch while TeikMin and I assists them. LOL.=]

Pre-Wesak Day 2009 Lotus Candle Set Up

Pre-Wesak Day 2009 Lotus Candle Set Up

But end up the typical Malaysian attitude is back

Pre-Wesak Day 2009 Lotus Candle Set Up

Every year devotees from all over the state/country light up lotus candles for Wesak Day while we volunteer to set up and arrange it for them before the candle lighting ceremony which will be held a day before Wesak Day.

Pre-Wesak Day 2009 Lotus Candle Set Up

Pre-Wesak Day 2009 Lotus Candle Set Up

Wondering how the service can be done within the time range of 2hrs, while there are 2jokers posing for with candles for the camera? Well to be precise they are not actually jokers or losers, they are actually doing us volunteers a favor by entertaining us from time to time just to keep the spirit up up up..

Pre-Wesak Day 2009 Lotus Candle Set Up

And watching people clearing up and smiling to the camera which reminds us service with a smile... *cheese*

Pre-Wesak Day 2009 Lotus Candle Set Up

Observe the number of the attendance during that day, how disappointing

Pre-Wesak Day 2009 Lotus Candle Set Up

The event was supposed to end at 4pm but was delayed till around 5.15pm because of the lack of man-power but oh-well, we did it...
Here are 4 shots from me taken from different angles, please rate & vote that which shot is the best...

Everyone that volunteered left with a smile on their face as they know they achieve something on that very day although it ended later than expected..

Camera Fair @ Star Parade Alor Star 2009

Camera Fair @ Star Parade Alor Star 2009
(30/04/09-03/05/09)

Yeah, outstation again, last week was in Giant Seri Manjung, Perak Camera Fair but this week I went to Alor Star, Kedah for another camera fair organized by the same company. This time I got the call informing me that I have to work in Kedah a day, or shall I say a few hours before leaving for work. Oh well, I guess why not as selling cameras is my part-time career for now. I actually kinda enjoy this job, it helps me improve my comunication, persuading, manipulating, ETC skills "IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN!!"...

Star Parade, Alor Star, Kedah

Quite a lot of events had happened in the 4days fair and 3nights home stay, fun+enjoyable=tiring actually..

We did a lil LELONG @ happy hours..

One of the items include Fujifilm's SLR at a HOT PRICE

Here are some random shots;

Yen "testing" the Canon EOS 50D

Then here is the one that I admire the most, the one which I held on to even before its even launched;

Canon EOS 500D, launched on 5/5/09

Since this is the 2nd time promoting cameras, I am not saying that the job is easy, but it is like a challenge in life to make sure the cameras are being sold, destined to do your duty to uphold and improve your Boss's business. To be honest, I actually enjoy it, and yeah one more thing, we achieved our sales target. YAY!!!!

See you guys in Gurney Plaza this weekend, (8/5/09-10/5/09)
Don't forget to drop by and say HI!!!

Yee Hoong's 18th Birthday Celebration (2009)

Yee Hoong's 18th Birthday Celebration 28/4/09, Birthday on 29/4/09

You guys might think that this post will be a bit boring, as it is just a normal birthday of a simple guy turning 18, but I do not think so. First of all, its attended by all races of Malaysia, Malay, Chinese, Indian. This is one thing we do not see anymore nowadays. Okei, enough crapping and back to the topic, I know this guy since like freshmen year in high school, we were in the same class, same scout troop and etc. A lot of the activities were done together.

Happy 18th Birthday YeeHoong

So when turning eighteen, things that were done back then which was illegal is now LEGAL.

Estimated 20buckets were ordered and drank = 100 bottles

Then came midnight where the sing-a-long birthday song was performed by the band

The Band, do not even know its name. =.=''
